Tagline Imagery

Tag lines are a major component in any rebranding effort. Taglines should have a high recall value, that target audiences tend to remember, for instance, Coke “It’s the real thing” is remembered fondly to this day; Budweiser, “This Bud’s for You;” Nike’s ” Just do it”, Volkswagen’s ” Drivers wanted” are a few of the more memorable catchy old taglines that managed to create the right buzz at the time. They, however, have all been replaced. Taglines to be effective must maintain relevance. Taglines should give an insight into the company’s philosophy, services and offerings. A good tagline is related to the product/company’s promise and can help reinforce and educate the potential customer about the company. Take a look at Xerox, their old line “ The Document Company” was replaced by “Ready for Real Business”; due to their changing business model. It captures the essence of what this old copier company is now all about.
Share with us some taglines that your company is using that is resonating in the marketplace.
